Thanskgiving

I can't believe Thanksgiving has come and gone already. We had thanksgiving with Shawn's parents and of course we had to watch the Arkansas v/s LSU game. Micah had a wonderful time visiting with her Mimi and Poppa, Aunt Mandee, Uncle Jerry, Aunt Stacy, Uncle Brian, and cousin Emily and Colton. In the last week Micah Claire has started grabbing for things and holding on to them. It's just amazing to watch her grow and change everyday. This is my last week home with her. It is going to be so hard to leave her!

What a week!

This week has been nothing short of crazy. Mom, Micah and I left early Saturday morning to head to my Mom's parents house. This was the first time that Granny and Papaw Stoner got to see Micah Claire. Micah slept the entire three hour trip there, but the ride home was much different. Micah was exhausted and tired of being in her car seat. So Nanna had to sit in the back with Micah and sing her every song she has ever heard. Needless to say, we will not be taking another long rode trip for a while.

Micah and I went for her 2 month check up yesterday. She is now 13# 9oz and is 24 1/2 inches long. The doctor said that Micah will probably be around 6 feet tall if she keeps growing at this rate. YIKES!!!! And, yes we had to get those infamous 2 month shots. It was the most heartbreaking experience of my life. I was still crying after Micah stopped. I am already dreading the 4 month shots.

2 months old

Time is flying by and Micah's growing faster and faster. She now weighs 13# 0.5oz and is 23 1/2 inches long. She can now push up on her hands and roll over!

Micah's First Halloween

We decided that it would be too hard to take Micah out for Halloween. So, we invited the grandparents over to our house for dinner and pictures. Micah wasn't too excited about being in her pumpkin suit. We dressed her up and took pictures very quickly (before her Cowart temper could come out, haha).

4 weeks old

Micah Claire is now 4 weeks old. She now weighs 10# 13oz and is 22 1/2 inches long. The breastfeeding is going great, so mom pumped some milk and let daddy give Micah her first bottle. It was a very messy experience!

2 weeks old

Micah is growing like a weed. At her 2 week check up she was 9# 7oz and 21 1/2 inches. Shawn is now back to work, so it's just mom and Micah! Who knew being a parent was such hard work. But, it's most definitely worth it. She is truly the love of our life!

Micah Claire

After 41weeks, Micah Claire finally made her arrival into our lives. She was born September 4th at 6:59 p.m. She was a healthy 9#5oz and 20 1/2 inches long. There is no joy like that of being a parent. It is truly nothing short of a miracle!
