Micah Claire's Very Own Park!

Nana, Poppa Stan, and Papaw Barry went in together and Micah Claire a swing set for her 2nd birthday. She was so excited when we pulled up in the drive way and she saw her daddy putting it together. She squealed "Oh Mommy, My Park!"

Pictures from Mimi's house

After a 5 1/2 year battle with cancer, Shawn's Aunt Rhonda finally passed away last week. Even though you know something is coming; and you know how much pain someone is in, it's still never easy to see them go. Please keep this family in your prayers. Rhonda and Wayne have 2 teenage daughters who need a ton of support and prayers in weeks, months and years to come. Rhonda was 49 years old. 49 years old, that's just too young. It really makes you stop and realize how short and precious life is; and how you shouldn't take anything or anyone for granite.
At the end of the day all that matter is your family and your friends.

Micah Claire has waited 6 weeks to get to see her new baby cousin Maddie. She was so excited she didn't know what to do with herself.
M.C. checking out Maddie's hot pink bow!

Of course she had to get in her daily cell phone time!

Swinging with Emily and Colton
Nothing like cousinly love!

The 3 blue eyed Cowart Grandkids! SIMPLY PRECIOUS!

And me with my new sweet neice Maddie! Isn't she perfect. It so makes me want to have another one. I just want my next one to come out sleeping all night and be potty trained. That's not too much to ask is it? LOL

Aunt Stacy and sweet Maddie!

And on the way home, Micah Claire decided it was time to do a little self tattooing. By the time we got home she had covered both legs, both arms, her forehead and both of her feet. It took a lot of scrubbing to get it all off!

Our last month with a 1 year old

On Tuesday Micah Claire turned 23 months old. I just can't believe that in less than a month I will have a 2 year old. Can that really be possible? Don't get me wrong, I love that she is growing up, learning new things everyday, talking in sentences and becoming potty trained. But there are some days I wish she were a little baby all over again. My mom has always told me that I will always be her baby no matter how old I am. I always thought was silly, but I totally get it now! Even when M.C. is 60 years old and I am 87 years old she will still be my sweet baby girl. I always knew that I would love my child, I just had no idea HOW much. That she would consume my life and my heart the way she does. Micah Claire Cowart you are the best thing I have EVER done in my life and best and most sweetest gift that God has ever given me; I LOVE YOU CLAIRE BEAR!She thinks it's sooo funny these days to close her eyes when it's picture time. Mommy doesn't think it's so funny after 10 pictures! We've had sooo much rain the last few weeks that Nana just had to get M.C. a rain coat. And she LOVES it; she calls it her "shiny jacket!"

We just had to celebrate her turning 23 months old with a cup cake ( or TupTake as she calls it!).And these days she is all about showing you her food; I think it's hilarious but Daddy gets easily grossed out by it :)
