Our Polkie-Dotie Girl

Kinley started getting fussy and irritable the night of Shawn's graduation. I just chalked it up to her cutting 4 new teeth....... but of course I was wrong. Sunday morning at 2 am she woke and was burning up. Her fever wouldn't' get under 100 for anything for three straight days. On Tuesday it was 103-105 at all times, no matter how many cold baths we gave or alternating Tylenol and Ibuprofen every few hours. I knew something wasn't right so I called the doctor on my way home from work on Tuesday and got her an appointment for early Wednesday morning. About 20 mins after I made that call my mom called and said.... Kinley's fever broke but she has "a few red bumps on her belly." We by the time I made it home less than an hour later she had numerous bumps all over her belly and back......FREAKED ME OUT!!!! By the time morning rolled about she was covered all over. When Micah Claire saw her she squealed.... Momma she's all polkie-dotie. Cracked me up! Dr. Rucker told us she had Roseola. I had never even heard of it. She pulled out her medical book and showed me the pics and told me all about it. And it was word for word and picture for picture what she had. It's a virus that makes a baby have very high fever for 3-5 days and when the fever breaks the rash immediately starts. She told us she was no longer contagious once the rash started (Weird I thought but then again I'm not the doctor;lol!) She told us the rash could possibly get worse for up to 7 days and then fade away. And boy was she got much worse. It was in her ears, her mouth and even in between her toes. But by Friday morning they were starting to disappear and by Sunday they were almost all gone!

This is how it started... just a few red bumps.....little did we know what it would turn into.

Bless her heart, she scratched and rubbed every part of her body all week; so sad! Her mouth hurt so bad from the bumps and the new teeth that she hardly ate all week; and when she would eat she would only eat cold, soft foods or she would nurse.

This baby slept and slept if you held her; heaven forbid if you laid her down. It was very tiresome for Mommy, Daddy and Nana but very necessary for our Sweet Kinley Bugs to rest comfortably!

Here is on Friday with just a few red bumps left on her face. She's officially 43 weeks old!

Last night I ran my first 5 K with Paige! It was extremely hot and extremely tiresome but I finished and I ran every step of it. I swore when I crossed that line that it was my first and last 5K but today I am already planning on my next one.

Check us out Paige, we even made the local paper ;)

Wednesday morning me, the girls and my mom loaded up and headed to Fort Worth for Daddy's Graduation. We stopped in Mt Pleasant for lunch at a Burger King that had a huge indoor playground. MC was very impressed with the indoor playground!

My dancing girl!!!

And then she busted into Baby....yep....she still has "beaver" fever!

Then after a 4hour drive we were there! Both the girls were thrilled to finally get to see their daddy!Daddy's graduation was held at the Omni in downtown Fort worth. Our room had a great view from the 8Th floor! The girls had a ball playing in the big glass window. Too Stinking Cute!!! Such Love!!!!

Then it was time to head to graduation; MC was super excited to go see her Daddy walk across the stage! But.............

poor Kinley bugs on the other hand was not a happy camper. Bless her heart she is getting 4 top teeth in all at the same time, she has a terrible diaper rash because my dentist put me on a strong antibiotic to help prevent a root canal, and she's still behind schedule from all the sleep we lost while Daddy was gone and our camping trip. Even with lots of Tylenol and Ibuprofen she still wasn't happy :(

Daddy in super cute graduation garb!

And a quick family pic just before we headed down to graduation!Daddy was the first graduate to be called! Daddy getting his degree!!!!!! YEA Daddy we are so proud of you and all your hard work!!!!!
And before we checked out.......... MC had to go up and down the escalator one more time!

We decided to spend Thursday in Dallas having some family fun. Our first stop was to the Polar Ice House at Grapevine Mills Mall! MC was sooooooo excited to ice skate for the first time!

heading down to the rink.........

This was both daddy and MC's first ice skating experience..... I'm not sure which one of them was the most nervous;lol!

Look at that smile....worth every penny!!!!

Daddy wasn't too keen on the ice skating so we switched and I hit the ice with MC. It was THE MOST FUN I've ever had with MC!

Daddy took this pic through the outer glass so it's a little blurry...... But this woman was ice skating in the middle and doing some little tricks. I said.... Micah Claire watch that girl; and she said..... she's not a girl momma she's a Disney Princess on Ice; I almost wet my pants!

And then headed to the aquariumMC was fascinated by all the sting rays Too cute!

This place was great! So interactive and educational for the little kids, and even us big kids.

And yesterday Kinley bugs turned 42 two weeks old.She is climbing on and up everything these days. She loves to climb up her step stool and into the fridge. And it doesn't help that she has a partner in crime pushing her to do these things;lol! Peek-a-boo!

More Fun at the lake....

Last Friday was a busy day for us! We started out by taking Kinley's weekly pictures. She was 41 weeks old!Love this precious face!!!!She is getting to be such a big girl these days! This week she started playing patty-cake and giving BIG open mouth kisses when asked.....sometimes she even tries to slip ya the tongue;ha! It's so precious that the drool doesn't even bother me!Papaw Barry came. Numerous people tell that Kinley favors him and I've NEVER thought she had until I saw this picture. They have the same shape face and eyes.....but I still wont stay their twins;lol!

Group pic..... I took 4 and NEVER got them all to look at the same time! Kinley finally decided to show Papaw her walking skills and he was super impressed!

And this week Kinley bugs got to eat a cucumber and she loved it!!!! After nap time we loaded up and headed for the lake!My Aunt Declan came and brought her granddaughter Gabrielle! MC was SUPER excited to get to see her; they haven't seen each other since last summer! Aren't they cutie pies!!!!And Gabrielle was overly excited to finally meet Kinley bugs! These 3 enjoyed every min together!!!!They sang, they danced, the name it they did it!Friday Night Aunt Ash, Uncle Eric and Cooper came by....and of course Mr. Cooper was the center of attention!Saturday Aunt Paige came to spend the day with us and she had to get some snuggles in during Kinley's nap time!Uncle Eric came back and was our driver for the day. LOVE this shot Eric got of Gabrielle jumping of the barge......pricelessEven Uncle Eric did a few jumpsMC and sweet Aunt Paige!Cheese!!!!Kinley bugs sporting Poppa's Farm Bureau hatMy Sweet baby was having a blast swinging at the park. Right after this picture she decided to swing in my lap. We had been leaning back and as we set up she slid right down my legs and fell face first into the ground. It scared us all to death..... I really thought she broke her nose and/or knocked a tooth out. There was a ton of blood but after we got that to stop we were only left with a few scrapes...praise the Lord!Lucky for us Aunt Declan the nurse went right to work cleaning MC up and putting medicine on her face. MC was so brave, she hardly cried at all!!Sunday Poppa came out to drive us around on the lake and of course MC had to have a turn driving with PoppaMaking snow angles.....minus the snow;lolMC played for about 30 mins and then crashed for 2 hours on the boat. And Kinley bugs played for a little while, ate lunch and then............She crashed on the boat for over an hour....... My tired little girls; just totally worn out! Gabrielle was such a dare devil......nothing scared her at all. She even got up on both knees with both hands up while tubing.........AND THEN.............

They hit a huge wave and about wiped out!
